The Short 21st Century
Nicolò Degiorgis
The Short 21st Century is a zine workshop, wherein we ask participants to respond to one of the 250 reproductions of books dating from between 1789 and 1914, and published as part of The Long 19th Century Digested in 2019.
The aim is to digitise the zines produced by participants to build an online archive.
So far, the workshop was hosted by the following institutions: Fondazione Modena Arti Visive (Modena, Italy), Raffles Institute (Milan, Italy), Laszlo Moholy-Nagy University (Budapest, Hungary) and the Friedl Kubelka School of Photography (Vienna, Austria).
More information about the project's structure and content here.

Paper Marbling Workshop
28.04.2021
The Turks call them ‘clouds’, the Japanese ‘floating inks’, we go by ‘razzle dazzle designs’. Marbling was a technique originally employed by bookbinders to colour sheets of paper used as book covers.
In our garden pavilion, we will hold a paper marbling workshop during which you can produce aqueous surface patterns on wrapping paper, notebooks or any other object of your choosing that you might have at hand or bring along for the occasion. Go kaleidoscopic with your colour palette!
